Our services to which all are welcome!

Dear Friends, each of you, whether living in Evington or elsewhere, is warmly welcome to come to St. Denys or other locations where stated, for our Christmas services and events. These are:

Tuesday 16th December, Night Prayer (Compline) via Zoom only, 8pm. A short, quiet and reflective prayerful service. This will be led by our former Curate Revd Mark Batchelor. Zoom ID: 820 0369 6332. Please e-mail office@stdenys.org.uk for the passcode.

Wednesday 17th December, Carol Singing in the Cow and Plough pub, 7pm, 2 Gartree Road, Oadby LE2 2FB. Join members of St. Denys church and the community in hearty singing and merriment over your favourite tipple!

Saturday 20th December, 10am – 12noon, St. Denys Church. Do you find Christmas difficult for any reason? Blue Christmas is an informal, quiet time to reflect, light a candle, pray and be with others in a similar situation. You do not have to stay for the whole time (but can if you want to!)

Sunday 21st December, 6pm, Traditional candlelit service of 9 Lessons and Carols in St. Denys, with your favourite carols to join in with, supported by a full choir and organ. This will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies in the adjoining parish centre, if you wish to stay and partake.

Wednesday 24th December (Christmas Eve), 4pm, Combined informal Crib and Christingle service, for all and especially enjoyed by families with young children.

Wednesday 24th December (Christmas Eve), 11.15pm, Christmas Holy Communion (Common Worship) leading into Christmas Day and our celebrations of the birth of our Lord and Saviour, with carols and sermon.

Thursday 25th December (Christmas Day), 10am, Informal Christmas Day Holy Communion

Sunday 28th December (1st Sunday of Christmas), 10am, Holy Communion (Common Worship) with hymns and sermon.
